Quick answer

North Street market in Guildford runs every Friday and Saturday from 8.30am to 5pm, though parts of it are in a temporary location during works. The Farmers' market is on the High Street on the first Tuesday of the month (except January) from 10am to 3pm. Remaining 2026 dates are 3 November, 1 December and 15 December.

North Street market

Guildford's regular market runs every Friday and Saturday, 8.30am to 5pm. The council describes stalls selling fruit and vegetables, eggs, fresh fish, bread and cakes, French patisserie, cheese, flowers, hot street food, watches and jewellery.

It is on the move. The council says parts of the market are shifting to a temporary location over the coming months while improvement works take place on North Street. The days, times and traders stay the same. More temporary changes are planned between January and May 2027, and the market is expected to return to North Street when the works are finished.

The council posts updates on its markets page. If you cannot find the stalls, check there first.

Guildford Farmers' market

The Farmers' market is on the High Street on the first Tuesday of the month, 10am to 3pm. There is no market in January.

Dates left in 2026, as listed by the council on 9 October 2026:

  • Tuesday 3 November
  • Tuesday 1 December
  • Tuesday 15 December

The council says more than 50 producers take part, though not all attend every month, and that the market is accredited by the National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association. The full producer list is on the council's Farmers' market page.
